Just came back from 9th Sarawak State Level Marching Band Competition yesterday midnight 1:30am.. Our band (CH Band) got the 2nd and the Best Preparation Award in the competition.. Although we did not achieve all our targets, and our targets are State Champs, and National Champs, but it's alright, cos we really enjoyed the show and did our very very very best already.. So, no regrets ehh? But some of us still cried after the result was announced(include me la ^^)
4 years+ of our instructor, Mr. Mitsuo Nonami's dream, 15 years of Puan Soh's dream, 4 years of Mr. Chin's dream, 30 years+ of seniors' dream, 5-6 years of form 5's dream, and our dream, we failed to achieve it this year.. Well nvm, this year cannot, doesn't mean that next year cannot right?
After dismissal on the competition day, Puan Soh brought us out of the hall to somewhere under many trees.. Then, she talked to us a while, she told us that she was not even crying of her 15 years of dream, why should we cry? She told us not to cry, cos we had already enjoyed the show and did our very best.. For her, we are CHAMPION in her heart.. =)
After a while, a person who was a judge for this competition last year, Jonathon Fox (hope I did not spell wrong) came to talk to us and told us many things.. Hopefully we received it and will apply it =)
For this competition, I believe that all of our band members have put in a lot of efforts in it.. Sweat, tears, blood and sacrificed our time for study.. A lot of memories during the time we're practicing for this competition.. Moments of happy, sad, and angry.. All these memories will remain in our hearts forever..
Since this year St. Joseph Kuching had gotten a chance to go for National Level competition, all we can do (as Sarawakians) is to wish them all the best in the competition.. That they will bring the glory back to Sarawak..
Losing is the pathway to success, and I believe, one day, we will achieve OUR DREAM..
"If we win, we praise God.
If we lose, we praise God too."
Everything we do we bring glory to God..

Well he's a really good band instructor so remember what he said yea.. xD
Owh now no more band, FOCUS ON STUDIES! I don wan to hear anymore parents don let their children join band activities because of their results! xD
